01What’s in your set

Most Epoqe unstitched suit sets include three pieces. The exact fabric, pieces and lengths are always listed on the product page — please check them before ordering.

PieceUsed for
Top (kurta)The statement piece — usually printed, woven or textured
BottomPlain or coordinated fabric for salwar, straight pants or palazzo
DupattaA matching or contrast dupatta to complete the look

02Is the fabric enough for my style?

As a general guide, a regular straight or A-line kurta in a standard size needs about 2.25–2.5 m of fabric. Very long, heavily flared or full-sleeve styles, or larger sizes, may need more — ask your tailor to measure the fabric before cutting and plan the style accordingly.

Fabric lengths can vary slightly due to cutting. Ask your tailor to check the length before cutting, so the design can be planned around any border or print.

03Style ideas

  • Straight kurta + straight pants — clean, modern and perfect for office and day functions.
  • A-line kurta + palazzo — relaxed and flowy for summer and family gatherings.
  • Kurta + salwar with the dupatta draped on one shoulder — classic and festive.
  • Short kurta + cigarette pants — a contemporary, co-ord inspired look for everyday styling.

04Prepare the fabric before stitching

  1. Record an opening video when your parcel arrives, then check every piece and its length.
  2. For cotton and rayon fabrics, give the fabric a gentle soak in cold water and dry it in the shade to pre-shrink.
  3. For delicate, satin or printed dupattas, prefer dry cleaning instead of washing.
  4. Iron on low to medium heat on the reverse side before handing it to your tailor.

05What to tell your tailor

  • Your bust, waist, hip, shoulder, armhole and preferred kurta and sleeve length.
  • How you want any border or print placed — at the hem, neckline or sleeves.
  • Whether you want lining for lighter fabrics, and the neckline and slit style you prefer.
  • To keep a little seam allowance so the outfit can be altered later if needed.

06Lining & finishing

Lighter cotton, rayon and chiffon fabrics may look sheer in bright light. A soft cotton lining gives a cleaner fall and more comfort. Lining fabric is not included unless mentioned on the product page.

07Returns & exchanges for suit material

Unstitched fabric can be returned or exchanged if you request it within 3 days of delivery, provided it is uncut, unstitched, unwashed and in its original fold, with every piece included. Fabric that has been cut, washed or stitched cannot be returned, and Epoqe is not responsible for stitching or alterations done by a tailor. Damaged or wrong items must be reported with your opening video. See our Returns, Exchange & Refund Policy.
